President
Carol M. Flammer, President of Flammer Relations, is a proven public relations and social media professional known for her ability to attract positive media attention for the corporations she represents. With nearly 20 years of experience in the Atlanta market and throughout the Southeast, Carol is known for achieving media placements that drive traffic for real estate clients and generate brand awareness for business-to-business clients. As the publisher of a number of online blogs and forums, Carol encourages clients to think beyond traditional media and seeks to maximize their search engine optimization through social media. Her expertise in pitching traditional media extends from pitching society media to mainstream feature coverage to trade publications to real estate specific outlets.
Prior to founding Flammer Relations, Carol headed the public relations department at a local Atlanta advertising agency and was its first director. Before that, she worked for 10 years in non-profit, including serving as Public Relations Director for both the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Zoo Atlanta. Carol is known for achieving hard-hitting media placements while at Zoo Atlanta including ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show, CNN, TBS, NPR, BBC and USA Today, as well as ongoing front page feature coverage in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She has coordinated media tours for Isabella Rossellini, C.Z. Guest and Jason Priestly, among others.
Carol graduated from Oglethorpe University with a BA in Business and Behavioral Science. A member of the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Carol is a winner of PRSA’s prestigious George Goodwin Award. She also maintains membership in the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association, the Urban Land Institute and the National Association of Real Estate Editors, as well as serving on the Board of the HBA’s Sales & Marketing Council as Communications Chairman. She has achieved the following NAHB designations: CSP, CAPS, CMP and the prestigious MIRM designation.

Renita Davis
Account Manager
Renita Davis has been writing on housing, real estate and environmental topics for 15 years. With a focus on public relations, marketing and reporting documents, she has served as the behind-the-scenes voice for many successful newsletters, advertorials, brochures, speeches and annual reports.
As an account manager at Flammer Relations, she works with several of the company’s EarthCraft certified builders and has made numerous contacts in the arena of “green building.” Her in-depth knowledge of the topic has been instrumental in securing numerous placements in regional and national publications. Her articles have appeared in Sustainable® Home and in the National Association of Home Builders’ 50+ Housing Magazine.
Renita earned a Masters in Communication from Georgia State University and a BA in International Studies from Oglethorpe University. She is active in her church, several community organizations and as a volunteer for her children’s schools. Her favorite times are spent relaxing with her husband and two daughters.

Amanda Winters
Account Manager
Amanda Winters joined the Flammer Relations team as an account manager focusing on real estate clients. With extensive experience in the homebuilding industry, having served as the communications representative at a nonprofit that builds housing for the homeless, she was a perfect fit. Managing several of the company’s largest accounts, including developers, builders, and master planned communities, she is responsible for maintaining relationships with clients and reporters, developing press releases and media kits, coordinating special events, and pitching media.
Amanda, who graduated with a degree in journalism with a public relations emphasis from the University of Mississippi, is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at Georgia State University.
Amanda is a member of the HBA’s Sales & Marketing Council and 50+ Council, as well as the PRSA Georgia Chapter and the National Kitchen and Bath Association.
An Atlanta transplant, Amanda likes to spend weekends camping with her husband John and her lab Andy at the many state parks across Georgia. She enjoys road trips, cooking, reading crime novels and spending time with her family.

Laura Everett
Social Media Manager
Laura Everett is Social Media Manager for Flammer Relations, a public relations and social media agency specializing in residential real estate and related business-to-business accounts.
Everett first came to Flammer Relations as an intern in summer 2007 and was hired on as a Junior Account Coordinator that fall. She has quickly grasped blogging and Social Media, which will be her main focus as Social Media Manager.
Everett is also the Account Coordinator for the Business-to-Business accounts at Flammer Relations where she implements the traditional public relations strategies and tactics which are necessary for the B2B accounts she will manage.
A Kennesaw State University graduate with a degree in communication and a concentration in Media Studies, she currently resides in Woodstock.

Julie Heron Carson

Featured by The Atlanta Business Chronicle for seven consecutive years as one of Atlanta's most outstanding public relations professionals, Julie Herron Carson specializes in media relations, newsletters, Web site writing, special events and cause-related marketing. She has nearly 25 years of expertise serving clients in the real estate, travel/tourism, hospitality, consumer products, healthcare and non-profit arenas.
Julie spent 13 years at several prominent public relations agencies including Carl Byoir & Associates, Hill and Knowlton and Fleishman-Hillard. There, she directed the real estate account groups, handling public relations activities for a number of residential, commercial and industrial developers including Taylor & Mathis, The Pattillo Companies, Big Canoe, Bay Pointe Resort and others.
From 1992 to 2002, Julie served as the Atlanta Botanical Garden's marketing director. As such, she was responsible for all of the Garden's internal and external communications including media relations, newsletters, advertising, brochures, annual report, visitor materials and signage. She also oversaw many of the Garden’s fundraising events and managed the organization’s corporate sponsorship program.
Julie graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in English. In 1996, she was honored with the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America's Dyar Massey Award for chapter service.
An Atlanta native, Julie is involved in the community and has served on the Board of The Southern Institute for Business and Professional Ethics and the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She has been an active participant in the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau Cultural Initiative and the Midtown Alliance, and currently serves on the Marketing Communications Committee of the Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross. In addition, she is a 1995 graduate of the Midtown Alliance Leadership Program and is active in her church and sorority alumni organization.
Mandy Trowell
Senior Account Manager
Mandy has worked in public relations, special event planning and association management for 10 years, focusing on the homebuilding industry during most of that time. As former member services director for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, she views public relations, social media opportunities and event planning from the home builder’s perspective. Her experience also includes public relations management for a financial services company and work with a special events company. Mandy currently manages public relations accounts for builders and developers of traditional neighborhoods, master-planned communities and high rise condominiums.
A skilled writer, Mandy has written for Atlanta Building News, the Red and Black, and the Grady News, as well as numerous newsletters, scripts and presentations. Laura Craft
Account Coordinator
Laura currently performs traditional public relations and media relations services for builder and retail clients. Her experience demonstrates her ability to perform well in a variety of professional roles. A former sports staff writer for the Berry Cabin Log in Mount Berry, Ga., Laura has worked on political campaign fundraising and events through Capitol Strategy. She also drafted copy and prepared promotional packages for three radio stations owned by Southern Broadcasting. As a volunteer, she served on a public relations team that spearheaded the 80th anniversary celebration of Open Door Home, a program for abused and neglected children in Northwest Georgia.
Laura is a graduate of Berry College, where she earned a BA in Communication with a dual concentration in public relations and visual communication. A native of Moultrie, Ga., she currently resides in Kennesaw, Ga.
